Welcome

The wave of an arm and hand,
“Hello!”
The slight nod of a head,
“Welcome.”
The smile of one’s eyes or mouth,
The sound of a conch shell being blown,
There are so many ways to communicate,
“I’m glad you’re here.”

My prayer response:

God, How do I experience Your delight as I consciously enter Your Presence?
Help me to perceive it more fully, I pray.

Biblical touchstones:

  • It is a day for you to blow the trumpets…Numbers 29:1
  • I was a stranger and you welcomed me… Matthew 25:35
  • Worship the LORD with gladness; come into his presence with singing.
    Psalms 100:2

Invitation to prayer:
What prayers are emerging in your heart, mind, and body?
Pray them now.
