We Do Not Live By Bread Alone

Nourishment is essential. Physical nourishment, spiritual nourishment, and the nourishment that beauty provides.

My prayer response:

Beautiful Word of God, may I live in profound connection You and all that nourishes.

Biblical touchstones:

God humbled you by letting you hunger, then by feeding you with manna, with which neither you nor your ancestors were acquainted, in order to make you understand that one does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD. Deuteronomy 8:3

But Jesus answered, “It is written,‘One does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” Matthew 4:4

Invitation to prayer:
What prayers are emerging from your heart, mind, and body? Pray them now. Let them lead you where you need to go.
