Companionship

Who I am with may seem so obvious that I can forget to pay attention.

My prayer

For each of those with whom I share this life, I give thanks. May I find more ways to communicate my appreciation and gratitude.

Biblical touchstones

  • A friend loves at all times, and kinsfolk are born to share adversity. Proverbs 17;17
  • Paul and his companions set sail from Paphos and came to Perga in Pamphylia… Acts 13:13
  • My beloved speaks and says to me: “Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away… Song of Songs 2:10

Invitation to prayer

Sandhill Cranes

Think of the last person you were with. Remember what you shared, how s/he looked, and the feelings you experienced. What prayers are emerging in your heart, mind, body, and imagination? Pray them now.
