John described himself as “the one whom Jesus loved.” Would I describe myself to everyone as “the one whom Jesus loves”?

My Prayer

God, I know you love me. Help me to live out of that love.

Scriptural Touchstone:

…the first living creature like a lion, the second living creature like an ox, the third living creature with a face like a human face, and the fourth living creature like a flying eagle. Revelation 4:7 (NRSV)

One of his disciples—the one whom Jesus loved—was reclining next to him… John 13:23 (NRSV)

Invitation to Pray:

Say out loud, “God loves (my name).” Say it again, a little louder. Say it a third time, as if you really mean it. What prayers are emerging in your body, mind, heart, and imagination? Pray them now.
