There is so much violence in our world. So much death. Sometimes I feel overwhelmed. I’m sure we all do.
God, when things seem too much, help me not to shut down. Help me to keep my heart open. Help me to resist hate and to choose love.
Rejoice in hope, be patient in suffering, persevere in prayer. Romans 12:12

The thirteenth century stained glass window (1205-1215) which relates the stories from Genesis 6-9 about Noah, his family, and the flood. It is the westernmost window in the north side aisle at the Chartres Cathedral in France. The images in this post are found in the middle rows of the window.
