Walking around a corner in Chartres, France I came upon two tourists. Their mouths were literally open, their eyes big, and their bodies still. They were seeing the west façade of the cathedral for the first time.
My Prayer:
Thank you, God, for everything in this world that reminds me of Your greatness. Thank you for the Chartres Cathedral and for all those whose faith and love for You made it possible.
Scriptural Touchstone:
I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of God!” Psalms 122:1

Invitation to Pray:
What is the most beautiful religious building you have ever had the privilege to pray in? As you remember it, what prayers are emerging in your body, mind, heart, and imagination? Pray them now.
Photos:
These images all show the west façade of the Chartres Cathedral in France. The photograph above is found in the front matter of Visions of Mary.
