The Nativity (7): A Mother’s Prayers

Mothers all over the world seek God’s help as we pray.  We ask for wisdom to teach our children what is most important, the ability to love them in the ways they need, and for God’s will to manifest in their lives.

My Prayer:

For my children’s well being and my ability to support them, I pray.

Scriptural Touchstone:

The disciples were constantly devoting themselves to prayer, together with certain women, including Mary the mother of Jesus, as well as his brothers. Acts 1:14 (NRSV)

Invitation to Prayer:

As you think of your children, or other younger people you love, what prayers are emerging in your body, mind, heart, and imagination? Pray them now.
