When viewing a building–or a person–glimpses that hold the inside and the outside together bring greater understanding and appreciation. May I look for the whole without being distracted by what I can easily perceive.
My Prayer
God, thank you for open windows and doors.
Scriptural Touchstone:
Do you still not perceive or understand? Are your hearts hardened? Do you have eyes, and fail to see? Do you have ears, and fail to hear? And do you not remember? Mark 8:17b-18 (NRSV)
Invitation to Pray:
What do you need to see in a more holistic manner? Pray for the ability to do so and then, in silence, with your eyes closed, wait at least two minutes for whatever God wants to reveal.

Jill, I especially liked this post. It is so important to see things from God’s perspective – spiritual seeing . Keep up the good work of helping me and others to deepen our faith.
Love across the ocean, Kathy

Thanks for the email. I was going over your entry, Trouble In the Garden,’ after which I was reading ‘Our Daily Bread’ as I do every day. And today’s verse was the Fall in the book of Genesis. It was like hammering to get to reflect on the same verse in one morning.
