The Holy Spirit’s role in Mary’s life and Jesus’s incarnation are an important part of this image. While I don’t imagine the Holy Spirit as a dove with a halo, I do recognize the beautiful extension of light, color, and even energy that I have experienced in God’s presence.
Holy Spirit, bring God’s will to fruition in our world and in my life.
The angel said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be holy; he will be called Son of God. Luke 1:35
When Jesus had been baptized, just as he came up from the water, suddenly the heavens were opened to him and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. Matthew 3:16
John [the baptizer] gave this testimony: “I saw the Spirit come down from heaven as a dove and remain on Jesus. John 1:32
Invitation to Prayer:
Imagine that the Holy Spirit is coming to bring more of God’s will into your body and life. What prayers are emerging in your mind, heart, body, and imagination? Pray them now.
