Notre Dame de la Belle Verrière (15): Angels

The eight angels placed above and beside Mary and Jesus are telling me, “Look to the Center. Praise God!”

My Prayer:

Jesus, I join my voice to those of the angels throughout all time. Together we acknowledge how very special You are!

Scriptural Touchstone:

“Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace among those whom he favors!” The angels singing in the skies after Christ’s birth in Luke 2:14 (NRSV)

Invitation to Prayer:

If you were an angel worshipping Jesus, would you pray with your hands together, holding up a candle, or swinging an incensor? Imagine yourself doing so. What prayers are emerging in your body, imagination, mind and heart? Pray them now.
